This item is in Mint Condition.  An outstanding model with beautiful Sambar stag handles on both sides.  The blade has full gold etch but has some light scratches through the etch. This is visible in the abundant photos. Otherwise, the blade is as good as it gets. The foam is not original but is new, form-fitting, and should last many years. The wood box is in great condition but it appears the top latches have been replaced but are the original design. They are a little off-color.  There is some fading to the matching warranty card. It is a pleasure to bring this one this nice back to the collector market. It has been with the original owner since it was new and passed on to his relatives.
