This item is in Near Mint Condition. An outstanding and early Cougar. The knife is near perfect.  Only a few handling marks on the blade. The knife has very dark and well-matched India Sambar Stag handles.
The most significant item to note on this nice piece is regarding the box. There is a crack running along the lid of the box.  On the backside.  This detail is shown in the photos. The box is the highly desirable early one with the silver Puma logo.  It is a repairable item. The crack is not all the way through the wood.  A good woodworker with some glue and clamps could repair it.

The sheath is the original and very desirable sheath with the Puma on it.  Later, they replaced this one with smooth leather with no logo.
The foam is a replacement but a very close copy to the original foam which has deteriorated..
All in, this is an outstanding and rare piece that would look great in a collection.  You do not see them come up for sale often and not in this condition.
