This item is in excellent and unused condition.  The knife has very nice stag. It has the original finish and edge but has some carbon spotting on the blade. It is mild, not deep but evident on both sides of the blade.  This would fill a hole in a collection as they are fairly hard to find. 
This knife is considered by some to be a boot knife and Bayernmesser, a favorite knife design in the southern area of Germany known as Bayern.  We would know this area as Bavaria.
