This item is in Mint Condition.  This is a special knife from a famous German Aircraft Company. The company is MBB, the Messerschmitt-Bolkow-Blohm, formerly the Messerschmitt Aircraft Company made famous in WWII. The company supplied the German Luftwaffe with the BF109 and the ME262 airplanes.
This knife is a New and Unused Pilots knife.  This knife would have been kept in a military arsenal and issued to Pilots. It is now known if this knife was. issued and never returned, sold as government surplus, or just walked away from the Arsenal.
The blade is enclosed in an Oil Infused Plastic coating which has kept the blade in Mint Pristine Conditon, just as it left Puma in 1970. The scratches you see in the photos are in the plastic coating not the blade of the knife.  The plastic dip extends onto the Jacaranda Wood Handle and is visible in some photos. It is the only knife I have seen with the Plastic Dip on the blade which makes it very interesting and rare and with special provenance.
The sheath is in also new condition but shows some green verdigris on the rivets.
The knife comes with the Gray Arsenal Box and all associated paperwork from Messerschmitt as well as original packaging materials.
It is a unique knife for the advanced collector.
